Picture Polish Flakiegasm - Splendour, Hypnotic and Festival

Hi Goddesses

So here is the final Picture Polish Flakie post - it's a bit of a glorious gang bang, with all 3 flakies on parade!!  :)

Here's a couple of reminders first.  The polishes used for skittles were -

thumb = SH Right Said Red
index = SH Delphinium
middle = CG Starboard
ring = CG Secret Peri-wink-le
pinkie = OPI Black Onyx

And here is how they looked with 1 coat of Splendour

And here is how they looked with 1 coat of Hypnotic (wish I'd done 2 coats)

And here's how they looked with 2 coats of Festival

And here ... is how ... they look .... TOGETHER :)

Get a load of that!  Doesn't it just make you happy ??  I love that there's a lot going on, yet at the same time it's not so overpowering that you can't appreciate the individual beauty of each flake.

Super pretty, ya ?

I'm still super smitten with the red - I think red just responds soooo well to all the ways you can attack it - and even the green is a win for me.

I do regret the Delphinium.   I personally don't dig the flakies over pastels, but on the other hand, they do look better when you do the WHOLE hand (like I did with Pam's Stormy Skies).

Finally, when I did the post for Festival, I really struggled to remember how it looked any different from Hypnotic so here we have 2 coats of OPI Black Onyx and -
index - 2 coats of Splendour
middle - 2 coats of Hypnotic
ring - 2 coats of Festival

And YES there is a difference.  Side by side, you can see how much smaller the flakies are in Hypnotic, and how they are tiny shimmery flecks of orange and blue.  Festival on the other hand, seems to be the lovechild of the two, mixing the 2010/Shine of the Times-ness of Splendour, and the slightly cooler and funkier mix of Hypnotic.

Favourites ??  You want mommy to choose a favourite ?  Well, don't tell the flakies, but if I could only have 1 it would be Festival, and if I could have 2, I would also buy Hypnotic.  Splendour is truly beautiful, but like me, you've probably already got something verrrrry similar.

Enjoy xx :)
