Today is World Ovarian Cancer Awareness Day and I have a very simple mani for you. I know people who've died from this particular cancer - it's one of the ones that is usually diagnosed way too late, so raising ANY awareness of it is good.
The key to surviving any cancer these days is early detection, so if you're worried because you've had any of these symptoms for a while, you should see your GP -
- persistent pelvic and abdominal pain
- increased abdominal size or persistent bloating (not bloating that comes and goes)
- difficulty eating, and feeling full quickly
The colour for Ovarian Cancer Awareness is teal, and today I have a teal-ish holo to show you - Kahuna from Above The Curve. ATC make fantastic holos, and this one is no exception.
The shade here is vivid and intense, and I love the delicacy of the holo. It's my first ATC, and quality and application were both good.
To reflect the purpose of the mani, I wanted something simple, and the word "Hope", seemed to sum it all up.
One day, we hope, there will be a cure.
Take care xx
