Yup, we're getting festive. In September. Sheesh. Lol. I really had no desire for trees, snowmen or reindeer yet, so I chose to recreate the mani Kirsten did. It's one I've attempted before, but never to my satisfaction. But this time I have acrylic paint mwahahahahahaha.
Tonight The Nubster is rocking a really cool polish - Jade holo in Extasy. It's a smokey grey holo with a hint of blue steel to it, and I love it. Grey holo sounds like such a contradiction in terms, but this is gorgeous.
I started with 2 coats of Extasy for my twilight sky and then used a nail art brush and w7 Black to draw my wiggly line / wire.
I then chose about 6 bright acrylics, and drew bulbs (ish) with an even smaller nail art brush, along the length of my wire.
Finally, I added little flashes of white to represent light, and can I tell you, this is one of those insane finishing touches that makes all the difference. It really lifted the mani to another level.
When I did this last Saturday I was a little underwhelmed by it, mainly because I couldn't believe how hard it was to get a bulb shape! On film though, this looks so much better than I remember it, so I'm happy now haha.
Enjoy xx :)
