Today is a tale of 2 glorious teals from Above The Curve, and yup, I am soooooo in love with one of them!
First up is Holly, Mistletoe and Trees That Glow. This is a "nice" teal holo, more scattered than linear, and it looks lovely unless you compare it to today's teal companion.
HMATTG really suffers in comparison. It goes from being vibrant, possibly blue-leaning and scattered of colour, to something more wishy washy and non-committal. Totally no fault of the polish (and indeed you may prefer the softer tones of HMATTG), but for me, HJDU is far superior.
Husbands Just Don't Understand is dark, intense and oh so captivating. The dark, leafy greeny tealyness of this is just perfection, and it's my favourite of the 2. (In this mani, I kept an accent nail of HMATGG to show the differences - you can see how much more blue flash is in HMATTG).
As you know, I don't love green, but this is one shade I am happy to wear - it's so witchy it hurts.
Again, this is a scattered holo, but no less beautiful for that. In some lights, it looks like forest trees and frozen petrol have been whipped through the blender together to create a very volatile magic. Love it.
Which one is your favourite?
