Indie Corner

Hi, and welcome to Indie Corner, where you'll find out everything you need to know about Indie polish makers.  Be warned, this page might make you drool :)

Dollish Polish makes awesome polishes, from subtle shimmers to full out glitter soups.  Her polishes are well put together, with imagination and flair.  Nothing is pre-mixed; Dolly is very original!  Personally, I think her polishes are awesome - there are never any quality or application issues, and they ALWAYS look gorgeous !

Available from - Llarowe and BigCartel

KBShimmer makes polishes, soaps and lotions - a total feast for the senses!  Christy's polishes are some colourbombs, laden with glitter.  Very striking creations, and top-notch quality.

Whimsical Ideas by Pam is unusual amongst indies in that she sells from her Facebook page.  Sadly, she doesn't ship internationally.  Her polishes are beautiful colour combinations and apply easily, but if you're not US-based, you will find them hard to get hold of.

Hare Polish is one of the longest established Indie brands and was one of the first to start pushing the boundaries of how glitters could totally transform a polish.

Available from Llarowe and
Facebook

Pretty & Polished makes awesome glitterbombs, and has created some of the most talked about polishes in the last year.  Jawbreaker and Party on My Yacht were both at the start of the white-glitter-sandwich polish craze.

Available at Llarowe

Love For Lacquer has some excellent swatches - HERE

365 Days of Color is Sunny's brainchild.   She makes subtle and beautiful glitterbombs.  Lately, she's done a lot of pastel-based ones - totally on trend.  She also does awesome lip balms - delish!!!

Amy's Nail Boutique is a really interesting store.  She doesn't have as large a range as other sellers, but everything she does feels crafted and put together with care.

Available from Etsy
Facebook

I've bought a couple but haven't swatched them yet, so here are some swatches from other bloggers.

These swatches are from The Polishaholic - here - first up is Cotton Candy

and Patriot

and Pink Lemonade

and Preppy

Nostalgic has been around for a while and has quite a following.  She's not one of my favourite sellers, but not for any other reason the her polishes don't speak to me in the way that other brands do.  I think that's partly because a lot of sellers sell similar things - I possibly bought from someone else first.  Please don't take this as a criticism of her; the polishes I do own I am very happy with.

Available from BigCartel
Facebook

The Polishaholic has swatches of the Clueless Collection - here

Glimmer by Erica is a newer brand.  Very glitter heavy and very colourful, this still applies easily.

Available via Etsy
Facebook

Muy Caliente - here

Feenix Polish is a newer store.  I love Suzette's eye for colour - colour is her inspiration, and she comes up with some amazing combinations.  Most of her polishes are quite thick, but this doesn't affect their application.  However, you may prefer to add a drop of thinner to yours, depending on your preferences.

Available on Etsy
Facebook

Flames - HERE

Things I Love At The Moment has the following swatches HERE

Pasadena Rose

Girly Bits is a lovely brand, partly because Pam is such a sweetheart.   I follow her on pinterest, and her eye for colour is astounding.  She makes a variety of polishes, so if you're looking for Indies that aren't *just* glitterbombs, Pam is a really good place to start.
